SMTP error from remote mail server
Hello ,
I am using centos 7 on digital ocean .
I am facing some mail issues like
SMTP error from remote mail server after initial connection:
554 mi05.dcs.int.inet cmsmtp Connection rejected. Reverse DNS for 123.123.123.123 does not exist.
how to solve it ?

Hello, This indicates that the recipient server is rejecting mail from 123.123.123.123 because it doesn't have reverse DNS - to resolve this you'll need to add a PTR record. Most commonly your provider (digital ocean) does not delegate access to add this to you and you'll need to have them add the record. If on the off chance they DO allow you to add these records locally we have a step by step guide here: How to Configure Reverse DNS for BIND in WHM - cPanel Knowledge Base - cPanel Documentation Thanks! 0 -
Hello , zone domain.com/IN: NS 'ns1.domain.com' has no address records (A or AAAA) zone domain.com/IN: NS 'ns2.domain.com' has no address records (A or AAAA) zone domain.com/IN: not loaded due to errors. Bind reloading on host using rndc zone: [domain.com] 0 -
Hi @knightmare I'm not sure I understand how this relates to the previous issue you were experiencing. Can you please clarify? Thanks! 0
