Restore email from backup?

Hi I recently migrated a clients email from an imap server on her cpanel account to an office365. Whilst doing this I missed the emails in the inbox folder and only copied over the subfolders. I have a backup, and I can see all the mailbox folders, but which file do I need for the inbox? Regards Wayne

  Assuming you are using maildir, have a look in /home//mail///cur So if the cPanel user was myclient and the email address was clientname@domain.tld you would be looking for /home/myclient/mail/domain.tld/clientname/cur Hope this helps

  Thanks for your reply. It took me a while to realise, just because I'd deleted the clients mailbox from her laptop, the emails were still on the server, so I no longer need to use the backup. Thanks for your reply though. Regards Wayne
