Keep DNS Zone

Hi, I want to terminate an account because the website is hacked and I will create a new account for the same domain. Should l check the Keep DNS Zone checkbox or not?

  Hello @Konstantina , If you are creating a new account after terminating the hacked one, you shouldn't keep the DNS zone. But if you have custom DNS entries for the domain, before terminating make sure that you copy those or else it may get lost forever, unless you remember the entries.

  Hi @Konstantina You will run into issues when recreating the account if the DNS zone file exists as well. As mentioned by @SS-Maddy I would suggest to remove it but keep a record of any custom entries. Thanks!

  You have to update new DNS zone for new cPanel account, do not use the old DNS for same domain, It is not recommended. As @cPanelLauren and @SS-Maddy suggested
