Stop AutoSSL notification emails - "The SSL certificate expires on ..."
Hi,
In doing some server housekeeping a few months ago, I noticed that all accounts had AutoSSL enabled by default. I changed this to "Disable AutoSSL" for about 50% of domains where SSL wasn't required.
I'm now getting loads of notification emails most days with subject line "SSL certificate expiry on" with date of expiry. I do not want AutoSSL on these domains renewed and I don't want loads of notification emails.
I know I can turn off all AutoSSL expiry notification emails but I don't want to do that, otherwise I will lose those for any genuine expires.
Does anyone know why I'm getting these emails (when I've chosen to disable AutoSSl on them) and how I stop them?
Thanks.
Will

Hi Will, Do the domains with AutoSSL disabled have certificates issued by AutoSSL on them? If so we do have an inquiry open for just this subject for our development to clarify this behavior. If it's moved to an internal case I'll update you here but as the behavior stands now they do get notifications - I believe the only exemption to this is if AutoSSL is disabled on the server as a whole. Thanks! 0 -
Hi Lauren Yes, the domains now disabled do have AutoSSL certs issued. HTH Will 0 -
Hi Will, Then this definitely falls in the realm of the inquiry, I'll update you again when I have a response on it. Thanks! 0 -

Hi Lauren, Any updates on this? I'm still getting dozens of these notification emails every day and it's getting a tad annoying. :( Thanks, Will. 0 -
So no update after 1 month? 0 -
Hello, Unfortunately no, I have no update on this at this time @nmavra I will update here when there is an update to the case. Thanks! 0 -
Hello, I just wanted to let you all know that we have received an answer back from this inquiry: [QUOTE]The answer is yes. So long as the cert is from an autossl provider, you should get notified about their expiry if the checkbox for getting notified about expiring autossl certs is checked. This is because you probably would still want to do something about it, especially since the cert would not automatically renew in this situation.
I hope this helps answer any questions you had and please let me know if you have any further concerns. Thanks!0
