Hello, I am currently using cPanel version 72 with WHM Reseller access. In leech protection, there are two options for action after a user triggers excessive logins in a two hour period. One is to disable the account and the other option is to redirect the user to a specified page. If i choose to have a user redirected to another page, will that ALSO stop the user from logging in until the end of the two hour period? OR Can the user just go back to the login page and login? Does the redirect page act as a warning page or does it ALSO perform a blocking function? Appreciate any help.

Hello, Sorry for double posting. So am i correct in saying this: Excessive logins during a two hour period will result in either Disabling of the account or Each login during the two hour period, after excessive logins, a user will see a page specified by me until the ban expires.

Hi @danielpmc You are correct, once they reach the number of failed login attempts the user will either be disabled or redirected (based on your choice) for the 2 hour period. The documentation is a bit more explanatory on this which might be helpful Leech Protection - Version 72 Documentation - cPanel Documentation Thanks!

@cPanelLauren Thank you for confirming my thoughts about leech protection and adding the link. I now understand the options better. You may mark this as solved, successfully. Have a good one.
