DMARC record keeps breaking by itself

Hi @pstretch How long are you waiting between implementing the DMARC record and testing it? It almost sounds as though there may be propagation issues.
If I then edit and re-save the DMARC record using the Raw editor I can then get it working again, only for it to fail again some time later.

can you show the before edit and after edit version?

That's the strange thing - the before and after records are identical in cPanel. Last night I tested my domain's DMARC record syntax with several test sites (mxtoolbox, dmarcian, etc) and they all show a syntax fail. The tests all show DMARC record "v=DMARC1" and nothing else i.e. an incomplete record. When I look in cPanel Zone Editor I see a full and valid DMARC record as below: Name: _dmarc.example.com. TTL: 60 Class: IN Type: TXT Record: v=DMARC1;p=quarantine;pct=100;fo=1;rua=mailto:v9qxizef@ag.dmarcian-eu.com,mailto:re+www99gvpgf8@dmarc.postmarkapp.com;ruf=mailto:v9qxizef@fr.dmarcian-eu.com I selected Edit and then Save in cPanel so the record is updated but not changed. Ten minutes later the record passes all DMARC syntax tests okay. This morning all the tests again show DMARC record "v=DMARC1" and nothing else i.e. an incomplete record. When I check in cPanel Zone Editor the record shows unchanged from the valid record I entered last night. Again, I select Edit and Save so the record is updated but not changed. Ten minutes later the record passes all DMARC syntax tests okay. I manage another domain on a different host but also using cPanel and that DMARC record has never had any problems.

Hi @pstretch Based on what you're saying, though the interface show's the record it stops resolving after a certain amount of time. Your profile indicates you're a website owner which would indicate you don't have root access to the server, in order to understand what's happening with the record I think the best course of action at this point is to address this with your host. I don't think the issue is with the dmarc itself it sounds like it has more to do with some configuration of the server your domain is hosted on. Thanks!
