    Thanks for the response but the link you sent me makes sense I we are backing up to a nfs. In our case we have redundant cifs which will have a separate set of creds for each server for backup and restore and also separate path. How does this affect and why is this not a beat practice as per cpanel ? Thanks, Shawn

    Hello Shawn, CIFS is still considered a remote filesystem and thus isn't yet supported (we don't test type of configuration internally). Thus while it may work without issue, it's not something we can support at this time. For instance, when creating files or backups on the CIFS mount, you may get a permission error like this: /bin/cp: failed to preserve ownership for `': Permission denied
