Mailbox is full

Hello My friend told me i m not getting e-mails for months and i saw his e-mail box is full and seeing "Mailbox is full / Blocks limit exceeded / Inode limit exceeded". After i gave him more space and now he is taking e-mails.But there is a lot of e-mails rejected.How can i get that e-mails after mailbox limit exceeded?
