Can't add email forwarder?
When I try to add a forwarder I get this error:
The system could not add the forwarder: (Warning: "email@domain.com" does not refer to a valid local email account or alias. The system will not create a forwarder, because it already sends that email to the default address.)
Anyone know why?
They exist fine no: ?
core(/etc): grep domain.com userdomains
domain.com: someuser
core(/etc): grep domain.com localdomains
domain.com

Hi @Scott Galambos That's an error I haven't seen before and I think in this instance it may be best to handle this through the ticket system. Can you please open a ticket using the link in my signature? Once open please reply with the Ticket ID here so that we can update this thread with the resolution once the ticket is resolved. Thanks! 0 -

Hi @Scott Galambos Thanks for the update I took a look at the ticket as well. From what I can see (without logging in) you're creating everything as intended. We'll have to see what the analysts find when they do log in, I'll update you when I have more information. Thanks! 0 -
Hello, Just to follow up on this, it looks like the issue, in this case, was related to the fact that the domain that was being forwarded didn't have its MX pointed to the server through the domain itself was pointed to the server. 0
