Add-on domain Wordpress install
Hello,
I am a new user and have set up an add-on domain and wanting to install Wordpress.
I am doing this manually and am up to the Wordpress install. To get to this I use this link ->
primarydomainname.com/addondomain/wp-admin/install.php.
Originally I tried addondomainname.com/addondomainname/wp-admin/install.php, but this did not work.
I'm afraid of wiping my primary domain website by accident. Is the first link the correct one to install Wordpress for the add-on domain?
Thanks so much!

Personally I would just advise accessing it via the addon domain directly, and not by the addon domain's sub-folder of the primary domain. Beyond that - you aren't going to wipe your main site by installing WordPress in an addon unless you do something really silly. If you're worried... cPanel -> Backups -> Generate and download a full cPanel Backup. 0 -
Hi @Ross Chandler I just wanted to second the suggestions by @MikeDVB - this is exactly what I would have suggested as well. I also wanted to suggest using the WordPress manager to install you can find this from cPanel>>Software>>Wordpress Manager -> Install. This may make things a bit easier to manage in the future as well. Thanks! 0 -
Thank you! @cPanelLauren 0
