CentOS6 to CloudLinux
I have a few boxes that are currently running CentOS 6, and see EOL warnings when logging into WHM (CentOS6 support is being removed in 2020). Reading up about CloudLinux, it's supposed to be a drop in replacement for both CentOS6 and 7, a simple script that changes some key files.
The question I have is, will that bring these servers to where WHM/Cpanel will not have a problem updating, saving the process of getting new boxes and migrating users accounts? The hardware is fine for now, so it would be terrific if a migration could be avoided.
If it is in fact possible, any common pitfalls to watch for while doing that?

you will still get the warning if you migrate to CloudLinix 6 to migrate to CloudLinix 7 you will need a fresh install & migration 0 -
Hi @bear As noted by @dalem you will still get the warning CloudLinux6 is based on CentOS 6 so you would still be affected by their EoL dates. 0
