.htaccess is ignored by the server
Hi,
After applying latest updates on my VPS hosted on bluehost.com using WHM "CENTOS 6.10 kvm [server] v72.0.10" and using EasyApache 4 to install Contains Apache 2.4, PHP 5.6, PHP 7.0, PHP 7.1, PHP 7.2, and Ruby 2.4.
My website "Created using Vbulletin" was working properly before applying the above changes but now i can see the home page and that is about it "loaded without the CSS too". I cant access the blog or the groups or the forums and I can't access admincp or the login. I get a 404 error. The htaccess file is uploaded but it is ignored by the server any changes that i do to the file doesn't affect anything.
My wordpress website permalinks are all broken 404 error too.
Please advice.

Hello Aelaifey, That is an odd issue to experience after using EasyApache. I would recommend rebuilding EasyApache with a known working version and try doing a fresh install with the latest updates you need. The only other option I could think of is either reaching out to the host provider or submitting a ticket with cpanel directly to allow someone to take an in-depth look into your vps and see what is showing in the logs. 0 -

If you have transitioned from old version i.e., EA3, then you might experience some issue until you match the configuration. Can you share with us the output of the below command: # tail -f /usr/local/apache/logs/error_logs Browse the website after you executed the above command and check what errors are occurring.. Most probable reason I can see is of Apache or PHP module..0 -
Hello @aelalfey, My assumption here is it has something to do with the handler/modules seeing what if any errors are in the logs would be helpful as suggested by @24x7server Thanks! 0
