AutoSSL warning after certificate renewed
Hello!
I have a strange situation here. We still are getting AutoSSL warnings for a domain who already have his AutoSSL renewed on.
Its says:
How can i stop this? The domain is on and have his AutoSSL ok. The server IP in the warning is ok. Thanks! Cristian
domain.com.ar: The AutoSSL certificate expires on Aug 6, 2018 at 12:00:00 AM UTC. At the time of this notice, the certificate expired 1 day, 15 hours, and 33 minutes ago.
AutoSSL did not renew the certificate for "domain.com.ar". You must take action to keep this site secure.
The "cPanel" AutoSSL provider could not renew the SSL certificate without a reduction of coverage because of the following problems:
The system queried for a temporary file at "http://www.domain.com.ar/.well-known/pki-validation/569078316BFD574803C620BA0C3D9993.txt", but the web server responded with the following error: 404 (Not Found). A DNS (Domain Name System) or web server misconfiguration may exist. The domain "www.domain.com.ar" resolved to an IP address "my ip" that does not exist on this server.
How can i stop this? The domain is on and have his AutoSSL ok. The server IP in the warning is ok. Thanks! Cristian

Hi @benito Looking at the domain (as it was prior to being edited) I can confirm that the SSL has been issued for the domain and the www. subdomain. The certificate for both is valid from July 21st 2018 - October 20th 2018. It seems that somewhere the autoSSL process is somehow reading incorrect information though it does seem odd that this notification would indicate the IP wasn't local. Have you hosted this domain on a different server at any point in time? More to that question are you the administrator of one of those servers? Thanks! 0 -
Hello Lauren, im the admin of our servers. We hosted this customer previously on another cPanel server from our network. We move accounts between our servers using the cPanel transfer tool. Thanks 0 -
Hi @benito That's kind of what I assumed. Can you confirm that the notification was not from the previous server? 0 -

You are totally right! Thanks Lauren! I feel sorry for me lol.0 -
Hi @benito I had a hunch that might be it, the oversight is a really easy one to make! I'm glad we figured it out though :) 0
