AutoSSL spews HTML when DNS configured for remote website
Hello,
I've been meaning to get to this one for a while.
AutoSSL check spews out HTML of a remotely hosted website when looking for the /.well-known/pki-validation/ text file.
The domain name's DNS records are hosted by us.
We manage the domain's mail.
The website is hosted remotely on another company's server.
I've attached herewith a screen grab of how our DNS records are set up.
Can someone advise if I have them set up incorrectly and as a result it's causing the error below:
We'd like to take advantage of the AutoSSL feature for the mail component but suppress the errors caused by the AutoSSL script checking for a non-existent text file on the remotely hosted website. Thank you.

Hello @bloatedstoat, To clarify, are you attempting to have AutoSSL issue a certificate for the mail subdomain, but exclude the primary domain since it's hosted remotely? If so, you can exclude specific domains from AutoSSL by using the SSL TLS Status option in cPanel: SSL TLS Status - Version 74 Documentation - cPanel Documentation Thank you. 0 -
Well I never, thank you @cPanelMichael that's the solution. Appreciate the feedback. 0
