Separate Email Server and Web Server
I have issues when a website hosted get infected with malwares and hosting phishing pages therefore getting our IP blocked. Which affects email delivery.
Is it possible to separate the Email Server (using CPanel Control Panel) and the Web Server?
Has anyone tried setting this up? Do you have guides/configurations?
Any suggestions?

Hello @pauloray, We don't offer an email-only version of cPanel & WHM at this time, but I encourage you to follow this feature request: Mail Only version of cPanel & WHM Here's the most recent update: [QUOTE] Hey folks! This request has moved from the discussion stage into the research stage. One of our development teams is doing research on the various ways that this might work, how it could be delivered, and distilling those ideas into what a beta or first version might look like. Thanks for your continued patience, and let me know if you have questions!

What are possible workaround? Is it possible to assign a different IP on Exim (email server) and different IP as the Web Server? I am thinking that this way, if your Web Server IP is blocked due to infected websites, your Email Delivery won't get affected. Am I right? 0 -

Hi @pauloray, It depends on how the specific blacklist is configured. You can configure a separate IP address for Exim to send email from using the instructions at: However, if an account is hacked and used to send out SPAM, then it's going to use whichever IP address Exim is configured to send emails from. The better approach is to figure out how the account was hacked and prevent it from happening in the future. There's a thread on this topic at: Regarding the feature request, you can review the top comment to see the latest progress update: Thank you.0
