Hello @furquan, First, you'll want to use a website such as IntoDNS.com to verify the MX records for your domain name point to the server that hosts your email. If the MX records are already configured, then you can access Webmail directly over the mail server's IP address. EX: https://IP:2096
    Or: https://mail-servers-hostname:2096
    Thank you.

Hi @furquan, You will need to make any DNS modifications on the server that hosts the DNS for the domain name (GoDaddy based on the information you provided). Thank you.

MY DEEPEST APOLOGIES.....BUT SINCE I AM NOT VERY SURE AS TO WHAT IS TO BE DONE WHERE, I AM REPHRASING MY QUESTION... Hello cPanelMichael, I have updated my DNS settings at Godaddy to point to my cPanel server which will host my Emails. Although my DNS change is done, the propagation is still pending as the OLD MX entries are still there in the DNS config. I can currently access webmail using this url :- ) Or Do i need to do anything at my DNS settings on Godaddy as they are managing my DNS for this domain ? MY DEEPEST APOLOGIES TO BOTHER YOU !!!

Hello, You'll want to setup the "A" record for webmail.mydomain.com at GoDaddy so that it resolves to the IP address of the cPanel server that handles the email fro the domain name. Thank you.

Hello cPanelMichael, One last query, Does this DNS entry need to go on my WebServer OR GOdaddy Server, as both these servers are different providers. WebSite is Running on :- Liquid Web DNS is managed by :- Godaddy Mail service is by :- InMotion I have done the A record DNS Zone changes ON Godaddy and its been over 6hrs now and it is still not reflecting. Please let me know if i need to wait any further for the zones to propagate or do i need to make the changes else where ! Thank you for your time once again!

Hello, Just the GoDaddy server. There's no need to add the DNS entry on the server where the website is hosted because it has no affect on the DNS. You'd also want to make sure proxy subdomains feature is enabled on the cPanel account on the server hosting the email (InMotion). Thank you.

Thank you so much for the clarification. These are the entries in the DNS file of the domain, Please comment if all looks good :- A mail ` 222.222.222.222 1 Hour A webmail.mydomain.com 222.222.222.222 1 Hour MX mydomain.com mail.mydomain.com (Priority: 0) Thank you for all your continued assistance.

Hello, Yes, that looks correct assuming 222.222.222.222 represents the IP address of the mail server. Thank you.

Yes, the ip is fictitious though :) How long do you think it can take for the Zones to reflect or start working, generally....

It depends on how soon your ISP picks up the change. You can run the following commands from your local workstation to verify which IP address your computer resolves the domain names to: host mail.domain.tld host webmail.domain.tld
    Thank you.
