MSQL importing database is slow

I got a Dedicated server 4 months ago from Godaddy. And presently am trying to install a script and its taking forever to import the database. I tried to install the same script on a separate VPS and it installed perfectly. How can I configure the MYSQL through WHM or Cpanel in order to make the MySQL import faster? Because it later timeout when it takes longer than required.

  Hi, How exactly are you importing the database, is it through WHM or through phpmyadmin?

  Hello @Akinyemi Alamu, How large is the database you are importing? Are you attempting to import it through phpMyAdmin, or via the command line? Or, is the PHP script attempting to populate an existing MySQL database? Thank you.
