Setting up Cloudflare issue

It used to be that you could set up cloudflare rather easily, just change the nameserver to theirs, and put an A record for your domain to their ip. But after two days of messing with this i am realizing that i guess cPanel has since made some changes and that process can no longer happen. Due to this: My cPanel won't load or keeps logging me out after enabling Cloudflare The main reason is that you cant just edit the zone or add an A record to cloudflare anymore because it does not work. I added a A record via cpanel and it does not even show on the list. So i thought well i can just change the file in etc/host, well that is changed but still does not point it to cloudflare. So i thought well i will just change the ip of my domain via WHM... but you cant do that either because the feature will not let you add an external IP address, the list just contains those IP that you have assigned. So that wont work. So then i thought well i will disable DNS via WHM and add an A record, that does not work either. So i guess the only way to use WHM/Cpanel with cloudflare is to install the cloudflare API widget for Cpanel. Is that Correct? thanks :)

  OK my bad i had just always thought that turning off the proxy for cloudlfare (grey cloud) did not modify the actually resolve ip that propagates but it does. I just always thought that with or without the proxy it would still maintain the same resolve for the public view... So im sorry but being dump.... i hope this helps... have a nice day. :)
