Configuring MultiPHP Manager Issue

hi all, have problem with the next warning. [quote] PHP-FPM is available for accounts using PHP 5.6, 7.0, 7.1, and 7.2. To use PHP-FPM on accounts using PHP 4.4, 5.1, 5.2, 5.3, 5.4, 5.5, 5.6, 7.0, 7.1, and 7.2, you must install PHP-FPM for those PHP versions. To do so, perform the following steps below:
  • Click Install to open EasyApache 4 in a new window.
  • Install the following packages:
    • alt-php44-php-fpm
    • alt-php51-php-fpm
    • alt-php52-php-fpm
    • alt-php53-php-fpm
    • alt-php54-php-fpm
    • alt-php55-php-fpm
    • alt-php56-php-fpm
    • alt-php70-php-fpm
    • alt-php71-php-fpm
    • alt-php72-php-fpm
  • After you install the desired packages, return to the previous window and click Refresh. The system will display your updated PHP-FPM packages.

I need to correct this because the firewall is giving me warnings and I can not find adequate documentation to address the issue.

    Hi @Ricardo Reyes Regato Can you explain what the issue is exactly? Based on what you've provided it just looks like you need to install alt-phpXX-php-fpm Thanks!

    I have the same issue. The problem is that the alt-phpXX-php-fpm series are not available in the list of modules to install.

    and... not there in a working system either. Although FPM is off on that machine. I'll keep digging.

    Hi Guys, - This sounds like it's suggesting alt-php packages when it shouldn't be - if you install the ea-phpXX-php-fpm packages does this warning stop? Working on getting a CloudLinux testing server up so I can attempt to replicate this as well. Thanks!

    I have been watching this thread with some interest. I can find no alt-phpXX-php-fpm shown in the CloudLinux yum repositories, so I have to assume that :
    • The notice unacceptable as it takes up an unreasonable amount of screen real estate
    • The notice is WRONG as it recommends us to do something that isn't possible
    • The notice is unnecessary as I don't want to use php-fpm anyway (I use the CloudLinux lsapi handler)
    • To add insult to injury, there is ANOTHER notice further down the screen telling me that I cannot convert accounts to PHP_FPM since I don't have the packages installed (and I never wanted to anyway ! )
    I am bemused by the decisions made by whoever at cPanel is responsible for littering my WHM with useless messages (some of which refer to event that won't happen for more than 2 years) Has cPanel some ulterior motive for this ? We are used to the 'nanny state' government policy, but I find cPanel imposing the same level of overprotection and undue interference with our decisions as server operators and web hosts, frankly, offensive ! Perhaps cPanel do indeed consider us as end users so dumb and uneducated that we need to be spoon fed these messages and nags and reminders. I have always said that web hosting would be great fun if we could just get rid of hackers and clients, and perhaps cPanel regards us in the same light. Maybe cPanel should consider just getting rid of any options, and ram a pre-defined configuration down our throats that we can't mess with, and will therefore not require any more of these gratuitous notifications cluttering our interfaces. Someone needs to go ask the guys at CloudLinux how they implemented their (excellent) pop-up, and dismissible, notification window in the LVE Manager interface, and ask them nicely if they would share the code..........

    Harsh ? I was, I thought, making an attempt to express how angry I am, and why, and moreover; even offering a way to redress the issue. Please feel free to delete the post, or whatever part of it is too unpalatable. I shall humbly acquiesce to the Ministry of Truth version of whatever spin is currently politically correct. You guys don't want collaborators with opinions. You want yes-men, and the users of this forum are in grave danger of ceasing to be community members, and becoming nothing more than a commodity.

    Hi Everyone, I found an internal case on this CPANEL-21873- alt-php SCL causes unresolvable message about PHP-FPM to appear Some months back there was a problem with MultiPHP Manager when CL integrated alt-php. However, the scl prefixes were missing and this caused the neverending spinning image to appear when gathering details about the PHP-FPM packages. Cloudlinux repaired this problem recently as well as removed the unsupported alt-php FPM packages. Since the change, it causes a message about alt-php FPM packages being available but this message is unresolvable since no packages exist. This case is resolved in v76 of cPanel and is being backported to v74 you can follow along in this thread as it will be updated once the issue is resolved @rpvw we've talked about this before, we have a case open HB-3853 to have that removed from the UI - this came about after a conversation with PO of the team responsible for EasyApache 4 modifications. He agreed this is an issue when you have PHP-FPM disabled, that issue though, is definitely *NOT* the same as the underlying issue here. Thank you,

    I think you know better than that. I also think you know that being angry about nag messages to alert users to things is a bit much. Stating your opinions is always a good thing, and you've been a fine contributor to these forums over the years. But being harsh, or angry, when stating an option serves no purpose. You know this, too. Please try to remain polite and professional in your posts. I hate deleting users posts. Especically posts from active, valuable members such as yourself. Thank you.

    Hi @rpvw I actually went back and fixed my post - while this has been backported it's not present in a build yet, that's my fault - I apologize. Right now the only workaround for this is: Remove SCL prefixes for alt-php or Remove alt-php versions from being installed
