[CPANEL-22229] You must choose a docroot that the system does not reserve error

    Hi @Joel Espinosa This is an issue related to an open case we have - CPANEL-22229 the issue is resolved in a future release (v76). I'll update this thread for you when there's more information. In the meantime, you'd have to use a different folder for the subdomain's document root. Thanks!

    Hi, Lauren. It is very important that my subdomain is called "m", I'm losing a lot of webpage views because of this. My website is indexed that way in all search engines. Is there a workaround I can do in the meantime this issue is resolved? Thank you.

    Hi @Joel Espinosa You can call your subdomain m.domain.tld the directory it is placed in can't be labeled m. That's the entire caveat of this case. When you create a subdomain you just need to change the document root to something else.

    Hello, To update, this was fixed in cPanel & WHM version 76: Fixed case CPANEL-22229: Don't run unnecessary checks when subdomain docroots are being confined to public_html. You can monitor the following page to see when version 76 reaches each release tier:
