New User Error
Hello,
I recently created 160+ users for a specific package account and 4 users received a different hosting IP address. The ending ip address is usually .20 however 4 accounts received an ending ip of 2212. When I tried creating the users manually I was presented with this error.
Can I please have any insight on how to fix this issue? My university pays to have this server managed however this issue happened when your customer service is offline. Thanks
Account Creation Status: failed
(XID tmcbzs) The domain "adamb.vps.example.edu" may not be created by "urics" because "example.edu" is already owned by another user.
When I ran my script via python on the server it gave me this error.
(0, u'(XID duk8z8) The domain \u201cadamb.vps.example.edu\u201d may not be created by \u201curics\u201d because \xxxxxx.xxxx.edu\u201d is already owned by another user.')

Are you using hostgator reseller account? Because as far I know unless you make another IP address as shared or dedicated to selected accounts they wont be assigned to newly created accounts. 0 -
Hi @urics It sounds like the domains were created as part of another account you'd need to remove the domain from the other accounts before you're able to add them into their own accounts. Thanks! 0
