Remote Only Incremental Backup?
Is possible to do remote backups? Instead of generate a backup and then transfer to another destination, is possible to do incremental backups direct on remote machine?
Because if incremental backup uses rsync, must be simple to make those backups in remote machine, not in the local server.
If it not possible, use SSHFS to do that can be a good idea?

Hello @Augusto Will It is not possible to do this with the automated backup system. The behavior of the system is to first create the backup locally then transport it though if you have it to not save locally it will remove that copy it will not create it directly on the remote server. Thanks! 0 -

The problem with this is every server has to have enough storage to not only operate and have room for expansion, but also be able to store all accounts TWICE, which is a ridiculous requirement -- especially considering rsync can do this without a second local copy. This has been a pretty big pain in the butt for a long time... please consider this.0 -
Hi @brt There are a few feature requests on this subject and I believe some changes coming to the backup system in v80 which I believe may change some of this behavior. The most prominent feature request I found is the following: To avoid the load on the server, there is a make offer to find a way generate the backup on the remote server. Which explains why this isn't something we will most likely be implementing. Feel free to comment on this though or open a new one using the link in my signature. Thanks! 0
