i was wondering if anyone knew what the green text ip's listed in the deny ip mean

It doesn't mean anything...... In Editor mode (switch between the editor mode and the textarea mode by clicking on the Toggle box top left) each new line start is usually the IPs that are active in the deny list (one IP per line), and are shown in red, and comments or inactive IPs are shown in green. The actual delimiter for a comment is the # symbol - this signifies that everything after this symbol is a comment and should not be loaded into the firewall tables (it may corrupt the iptables if loaded in the text form) Since each new line shows up in the editor mode in red, you will see any # at the start of a line is red, but any # further on in a line (eg after an IP) is green. The red/green has no significance other than to attempt to help you edit the list of IPs. If you switch to Textarea mode - everything is black, and errors you might make in syntax are harder to spot. Failure to adhere to the correct syntax may result in a corrupt deny table at best, and a non working firewall at worst.
