Found the problem - .htaccess redirect to https. I'm not sure why this is an issue since it works fine with certbot but in the case of AutoSSL an https redirect apparently breaks HTTP DCV.

Hi @billy noah I'm glad to hear you found the source of the issue. We have a case open for this: CPANEL-22112 - Let's Encrypt for cPanel not properly following redirects. This should be resolved in v76 of cPanel. Thanks!

Hi @rappie Which provider are you using for AutoSSL? Do you have a redirect setup for the domain? The case CPANEL-22112 should be resolved at this point per the Change Logs 76 Change Log - Change Logs - cPanel Documentation

Hi @rappie It sounds like the same case, except this, should be resolved in 76. Since you're indicating you're experiencing it still on v76 would it be possible for you to please open a ticket using the link in my signature? Once open please reply with the Ticket ID here so that we can update this thread with the resolution once the ticket is resolved. Thanks!
