Get / Install Certificate on Account
I am just a Customer and my Hoster told me to buy there Certificate...
With my "Mid range Package" the dont give me Shell Access. :(
So how to get the Certificate into mine Hosting Package?
I have and (will) use 10 Domains for my Projects.
When I create (how ever the work...) an Certificate from Lets encrypt or someone else I gues I have to use "auto install ssl" to install it?
THX

As a Website owner, you can only use AutoSSL if your Hosting Provider has it enabled on your account. Some do not, as they'd prefer to sell SSL certificates, it sounds like yours does this. You'll need to speak with them to see if they'll enable AutoSSL on your account, or, find a new Hosting Provider. There is no way as a Website owner to do this on your own. 0 -
"auto install ssl" = "AutoSSL"? 0 -
That's correct. 0 -
Now I will try if the install from Let"s Encrypt work. I dont know if I have shell access / SSH access. When I browse truth my Account I see " Manage SSH Keys". I can see the Keys and "id_rsa not authorized " I also see: " ** You can download the private/public keys here and import into PuTTY (or other SSH clients) if you prefer using something else for SSH connections. Or, if you have been using PuTTY, you can import the public/private keys by clicking on Import Key. You can also download your key in PuTTY"s ppk format under View/Download. " I know Putty. Does it mean I have Shell Access? 0 -
Have you contacted your Hosting Provider to ask? I would, you might get your IP blocked trying to login via SSH. 0 -
My Hoster will sell there own Package (who smell like Let"s Encrypt Certificate). If the Block my IP I will see. So do I am on the right way? 0 -
I'm not sure what you're asking there. I've got no clue if your account's Package has SSH provided with it. Only your Hosting Provider can answer that for you. A Website Owner, as your forums profile here states you are, is limited to what they can and can not do without Hosting Provider intervention. Going it alone to see what happens is not suggested. Contacting your Host, is. GL! 0 -
sry I am pissed... Phpbb Forum make a lot of trouble (on my local System the works ). My Hoster told me just "buy our Certificate". I found a how to who should work but... 1) - Removed - there does he got the Key from? From "Private Keys (KEY)"? 2) I know what the mean with "CSR" 3) What I dont understand what he mean with: - Removed - Where does the Text Data file think come from? Does the Wizard told me? I try the other Methode and the dont work because the Forum Software Sucks and dont deliver the "File" whit the Key. So hopefully that work. 0 -
You cannot install a certificate on your own account if your Hosting Provider doesn't permit it. There are plenty of Hosting Providers that do provide free SSL certificates though, you might want to find a new Host. 0 -
 now it worked! Why not? That way it worked for me. I even see it when I open my Page. 0 -
Good news then. Thanks for the update. 0 -
Hmm when I try to use/ install for www the wont work. So "www" is a Subdomain right? When I look into Subdomain there is no www. Sure I can browse domain.at is gone?! 0 -
I'm not sure what you're asking there. But it sounds like you're trying to install a script, from earlier you mention phpbb, you don't need to add the www for the forums domain name, just add it something like this: https://example.net0 -
I mean the certificate. I make a certificate for www.example.net and upload it (just before) and now the certficate for domain.at is gone. (I edit the post before.) Does the Certificate got replaced?! 0 -
Are you following these instructions properly? Install and Manage SSL for your site HTTPS - Version 74 Documentation - cPanel Documentation 0 -
:-D My Hoster Activate AutoSSL so the problem is finally solved. THX! 0 -
