Sent folder different on Webmail than File Manager

Hello, I have a cPanel&WHM version 74.0.9. Why I can see in command line and via File Manager all mails under map .Sent, but on webmail (Roundcube) I can"t see all mails. On command line /home/panelt/mail/panelt.org/elizabeta/.Sent/cur I see all 13mails. Under File Manager (when I mark option -filemanager >> Settings >> view hidden files) I see also all 13 mails. Why I can"t see all 13 mails under map Sent via webmail? Thank you! Best regards, Elizabeta

    HI @Elizabeta I'm not sure - is the permissions/ownership on all files the same?

    Hello, Just another info. I tried to change permission on command line for one message from 644 to 640, but I can"t see this messages on webmail under Sent. There are the same number of 5 messages. Whis permission is ok? I do not know. Best regards, Elizabeta

    Hi @Elizabeta I'm not sure why they have different permissions but to confirm you can see the messages with 640 perms but not the ones with 644? Can you run the following and let me know the output: /scripts/mailperm --verbose

    Unfortunately, I did not save all output. Now permissions in the directory /home/panelt/mail/panelt.org/elizabeta/.Sent/cur are not the same like before two days.     Hi @Elizabeta Is that the same despite the mail client you're using? I'm wondering if you've got threaded view enabled or not. What are the dates of the messages present in sent within webmail?

    Hello Lauren, There is same situation. I have tried to use some other clients than Roundcube, I have tried with Horde and SquirrelMail, but this is same, on webmail I can see just 7 messages (another two messages I have sent today and I can see in webmail and in command line. I can see just this messages on webmail with dates 55193 Older messages from 22.08.2018. are the problem. On webmail there is no exist, but in File Manager and command line exist.     Hi @Elizabeta I just checked on that ticket and one of our analysts Kaden is currently working on it. He has found that Dovecot has not indexed the missing emails which is why they're not showing up in webmail. He's continuing to work on the issue now and I'll update again when there's more information. Thanks!

    Hello, Now is everything ok. The incident is still open, and your collegue Kaden has removed index files for account paneltest. Then Dovecot again generate new index files and on webmail I see again missing e-mails. We do not know why index files get corrupted for account paneltest. Before two months, I have just restored mails under directory Sent. I do not know is this reason for this behaviour. Best regards, Elizabeta

    Hi @Elizabeta While this does occur occasionally due to many factors including high load on the server, it looks like the analyst was unable to identify the cause of the issue. But he was able to resolve it by doing the following: -First he removed all the dovecot index files for the user by running this: /scripts/remove_dovecot_index_files --user=$user --verbose
    Once removed they're regenerated the next time the user checks mail -Then to confirm the issue was resolved he did the following: doveadm mailbox status -u emailuser@domain.tld messages INBOX.Sent
