Error ENOMEM: not enough memory node.js
Hello,
when launching a node.js command via the CPANEL terminal the following error is present:
error ENOMEM: not enough memory, scandir '/home/cpXXXX/nodevenv/nodejs2/6/lib/node_modules/.staging/util-deprecate-0920d04d'
the command launched is: npm install mysql --save
I have increased the following value: The maximum memory a cPanel process can be used before it is killed off
without this solving the problem.
Do you know where this error may come from?
worry about the configuration of node.js? of the cpanel? the ConfigServer Security & Firewall module?
information about the version node.js used:
node v6.14.3
npm v3.10.10

HI @gildas Are you using CloudLinux with memory limits imposed on the user? Also, have you checked your actual memory usage when this occurs? free -m
Thanks!0 -
Hello, Thank you for your reply Limitations memory is set up on cloudlinux (limitation: PMEM), but by increasing it I always have the same error when launching this command. when the error: ENOMEM: not enough memory, scandir is present, the free -m command does not indicate a lack of memory 0 -
Hi @gildas I don't know if it would be related but what's the php memory limit set to for the account and is anything logged to the apache error logs? Thanks! 0 -

Hello, i have the same problem, but i think that is not "php" or "apache" problem, we are talking about NODE. Some suggestions?0 -
Is anything output to the cPanel error logs /usr/local/cpanel/logs/error_log , apache error logs /etc/apache2/logs/error_log or /var/log/messages? 0
