    We always upgrade to MariaDB on new server installations for servers we manage.

    Hi @Aldeahost I personally lean towards MariaDB and cPanel is leaning that way too especially with the unknown of where the future of MySQL is going. At this point, though working issues with both of them there isn't one that is more troublesome than the other, per say. If you're unsure I'd suggest going with MariaDB, I find their documentation to be more robust and helpful in the event you have an issue or want to change a configuration. Thanks!
