cPanel creating local backup first?
Hi,
We have one cPanel server with just one account on a 50G SSD.
Filesystem Size Used Avail Use% Mounted on
/dev/vda1 50G 40G 11G 80% /
No problems here but the cPanel backup is not an option because it first needs to create a local backup before it is being transported to an external destination. Silly.
Anyways, what are good backup options that eliminate the option to create a local backup first so we can backup this account safely? Does Jetbackup do this? Other options?
Thank you!

At the moment we are trying Jetbackup for this server and it seems to do ok with on-the-fly backup to all destinations without creating a local backup first. Why isn't this possible with the standard cPanel backup? Is this by design? 0 -
This is done by design by cPanel, we first create the backup and transport it to a remote destination if called for and/or keep a copy locally if the configuration calls for it. There were a few feature requests like this but none of them look planned at this time: To avoid the load on the server, there is a make offer to find a way generate the backup on the remote server. 0
