The spam folders that exist in the UI, to begin with, are part of the webmail application. The spam box is a custom folder added when you enable SpamBox. That being said without SpamBox enabled you should only have the Junk folder automatically subscribed to: 55169 Unfortunately because it's part of Roundcube it's not removable as far as I am aware. It could be possible with modifications to the Roundcube configuration but I can't guarantee anything you change there will remain after an update.

When I updated to v74, my email client (Apple Mail) automatically switched to the .spam folder as the Junk folder when before it was using the .Junk folder. .spam folder didn't exist (as far as I was aware) before updating. This was also before enabling Spam Box. I immediately noticed because the Junk folder in Apple Mail all of a sudden had none of my junk mail in it. The emails were now in a junk folder down my sidebar where the other custom folders are that aren't inbox, sent, junk, drafts and trash. I figured out that my Junk folder now pointed to .spam without any intervention on my part. So I ended up just turning on Spam Box and deleting the old .Junk folder since it wasn't being used anymore just to simplify things.
