Question about default mail address
Hi,
Does somebody knows what this interface is showing ? It's the Email Disk Usage for the default address of a domain, but I don't know why is showing all that others mails addresses. I need to clear this default address to free some disk space, but after seeing this I got cold feet :P, because I don't know if deleting all the mails for that address will have an impact on the other accounts showed in the image.
I'm 99% sure that it will not, but better safe than sorry.
Thanks in advanced for any help.

It sounds like that user (the default user) is subscribed to the other users' inboxes. It shouldn't affect the other users to remove data from the default user. 0 -
Thanks for the reply. I forgot to mention that on cPanel it shows that the default address is occupying 10 GB, and when I enter the account via Webmail there is only about one thousand emails, each with a very little size (about 50 KB on average). So, is it possible that the 10GB in space is taken into account the sizes of the other accounts ? And if so, deleting all the emails in the default address will delete all the emails on the other accounts as well ? Thanks! 0 -

I think it'd be best to be sure - the easiest way to get the actual size of the account would be to access the server via SSH and run something like the following from the user's mail directory in most cases (unless you're using mdbox) you can do the following:cd /home/$user/mail/domain.tld/emailuser/ du -h --max-depth=1
