Hi,
With the end of life fast approaching for php 5.6 and 7.0. Are these versions going to be supported for a while in cpanel or will the be removed with a future update?

Hello @ca2236, Our policy is documented as part of the PHP Versions section on the . The profiles that we supply in WHM's currently supports. RPMs for unsupported versions of PHP will remain on the cPanel Inc. mirrors and servers, but we will not provide any further updates.

Thank you for your reply, I do have a few follow up questions though, since we are newer to cPanel, how does this practically work? If I understand the PHP home document, PHP 5.6 / 7.0 will not be part of Easy Apache? Does mean any site using 5.6 /7.0 will stop working if not upgraded? if we have to / need to continue using 5.6 /7.0 due to older sites, will we have to re-install via RPM? Lastly, does this mean that 5.6/7.0 will not be able to be selected in the PHP Multisite manager? Thank you for your time, I just want to have a full understanding of what to expect when PHP is EOL for those versions. :) 0 -

Once a PHP version reaches EOL status, it will no longer appear in WHM >> EasyApache 4 when choosing PHP versions in a profile. However, the RPMs will remain on our update servers and are not automatically uninstalled from your system. Thus, websites using those versions will continue working.if we have to / need to continue using 5.6 /7.0 due to older sites, will we have to re-install via RPM? You will still be able to select the EOL versions in MultiPHP Manager as long as they are installed on your server. You should not have to reinstall the RPMs, but If you need to manually install the EOL PHP versions you can do so using YUM. EX:yum install ea-php56
