Disable internal IP check?
Hi, i would like to disable the internal IP check feature if i could. What i mean by that is if my IP changes then CP/WHM logs me off, i would like to disable that. I know it is a security feature but i have my reasons as follows:
Since i live in a very rural area my internet connection options or limited. I can only use hughesnet and verizon jetpack.
1. Hughesnet is OK but if its cloudy, windy, or raining, it fails. Even more sensitve then TV satellite. Sometimes i can watch DISH TV but cant connect to the net. But it is great for large uploads and fast downloads.
2. Verizon Jetpack is great but it sucks for big downloads like games and software and once you get past your limit of 15GB (even on unlimited plan) it slows down to a crawl and takes forever to even load a web page. Uploads are always slow no matter what. But i can still use it in the rain and other bad weather.
3. I have a button switch box where i can switch between them by pressing a button.
Reason:
I was updating WHM using Hughesnet and right in the middle of the update we had a storm move through here and i lost the connection and it screwed up my WHM install because now i cant get anything to work, whm, cpanel, ssh, nothing.....
If the IP checker was disabled i could have easily switched to the verizon jetpack during the storm and the update could have continued. But with the ip checker enabled if i switch connections then it logs me off and would ruin the update anyway.
So now i have to tell my server company to run the force command right on the machine itself. I believe it is
Anyway so now everything is down until i get my server company to reply to the ticket which could take hours. So how do i disable that internal ip check feature so i can switch connections without being logged out. I would only disable it during updates and leave it enabled other times. Thanks :)

Once you can get back into WHM, go to tweak settings, and go to cookie ip validation and set it to disabled. 0 -
Thank you so much.... yes i was finally able to get into SSH with the help of my server company and i ran the update manually and now its back up. I will disable that before i do a update next time or when i need to. Thanks i really appreciate that... :) 0 -
