[Defect] MySQL Connection Failures and 500 Errors; CloudLinux + Imunify360
Hello everyone,
cPanel has been made aware of an issue with CloudLinux's Imunify360 PHP extension which is resulting in issues with MySQL connections from various web scripts, including WordPress. The symptoms may include slow loading websites, frequent HTTP 500 errors, and MySQL connection related errors.
Resolution:
CloudLinux has informed us that running the following should resolve the issue for most:
# yum clean all; yum update imunify360-php-i360
A restart of Apache and PHP services may be required after taking these steps.
If issues persist, CloudLinux has recommended temporarily disabling the Proactive Defense feature of Imunify360.
It should also be noted that this issue is most prevalent on systems running LiteSpeed Web Server. Switching to Apache may yield better results if issues are persisting.
If the above steps have not resolved your issue, please create a support ticket with us for further investigation:

As an additional step, you must deactivate and activate cagefs. Regards! 0 -

I uninstalled Imunify360 to fix all the issues. Is it safe to install Imunify360 now or problems are still there? 0 -
