Moving WordPress to a Domain Alias

What is the procedure for moving a WordPress site from the primary domain of a cPanel account to one of its domain aliases? My client wants to switch domain names on his WordPress website and I'm looking for a more efficient method than creating a new cPanel account for the target domain name and performing a migration with Updraft Plus Premium.     I'm going to set up a test scenario and perform a dry run before attempting this on a production site, but I have one question first: Would I be better off starting with a cPanel Addon Domain rather than a Domain Alias as the target domain? Thanks again, Don

    An Addon is what you want to use. A test scenario is a fine idea. GL!
