Separate server storage for media files

    Yes, you would need to have a plain linux server as the second server and set it up to be an NFS server. Then you would share a storage folder over NFS and mount it on your current server in that location and of course you would have to copy the existing content over to it. Giving you steps on how to go about that probably exceeds the scope of the forum, but there are a lot of guides out there such as NFS Server and Client Installation on CentOS 7

    While the advice provided by @GOT is correct I do need to point out that while this is a configuration many people employ cPanel does not support NFS and any configuration, issues and troubleshooting will need to be done by you or your system administrator.
