Same Glue Error
Have just opened a reseller account and decided to customise the nameservers.
Checking dns with intoDNS 2 days later I get an error -
"Same Glue - Looks like the A records (the GLUE) got from the parent zone check are different than the ones got from your nameservers. You have to make sure your parent server has the same NS records for your zone as you do.I detected some problems as follows:
For ns1.custom.com the parent reported: ['123.45.678.91'> and your nameservers reported: ['xxx.xx.xxx.xxx'>
For ns2.custom.com the parent reported: ['123.45.678.92'> and your nameservers reported: ['xxx.xx.xxx.xxx'>"
Updated DNS zone on WHM with new custom name, added A ns1. + ns2. nameserver IP's.
Changed to new nameservers in WHM Basic WebhostManager Setup, went to domain registrar - registered and updated domain to point to new custom ns1. + ns2. Checked with the host who say the DNS is now correct, but still get the error.
Nearly bald! Any ideas or pointers please?

Hello @Perce2, How much time has passed since you updated the DNS zone via WHM? It can sometimes take a few hours before IntoDNS recognizes the changes. Also, browse to WHM >> Edit DNS Zone and make sure you don't have duplicate DNS entries for NS1/NS2 (e.g. you might have NS1 and NS2 added both as individual DNS zones and as "A" records in the DNS zone of the parent domain). Thank you. 0 -
Thanks cPanelMichael for your reply. It's been over 3 days since changing the nameservers. I added the new ns1. + ns2. A as advised by my host. They are the only entries that have the new nameserver IP's. May be easier to send you a screen shot, would that be possible? 0 -
Hi @Perce2, Can you send me a private message with the domain name in-question so I can review the results on IntoDNS? Or, simply upload a screenshot of the IntoDNS results here on this thread. Thanks! 0 -
Can't find a link to PM you ! Prefer to keep server details from public view. How can I send you? Thanks. 0 -
Hello, To update, it looks like the issue was solved after removing and re-adding the A records. Thank you. 0
