SSL to hostname
Hi there, this january a buyed a new vps and i had setup the hostname to s1.onedomain.gr . Because we had an issue with hotmails (windowslive etc) we changed the hostname to s1.seconddomain.gr
We though that with different ip and domain will solved the issue about microsoft incoming to spam folder emails, Anyway.. why don't care for this anymore.
When we install the first hostname, nameservers etc cpanel send us a cert that it automatically installed to vps and the domains under this server.
Now we have AutoSSL to all domains (included and the seconddomain.gr) but i can't have ssl to s1.seconddomain.gr ... how can we solve this issue?

Hello @webos The hostname gets a bit of a different certificate rather than 90-days it's a yearly cert. If you check WHM>>Service Configuration >>Manage SSL Certificates under "Certificate Properties" does it list your server hostname or does it indicate anywhere that you have a self-signed certificate? 0 -
Yes all Certificate details shows self signed certificate, how can i fix this? I'm afraid to just click Reset Certificate 0 -

Hi @webos Clicking reset certificate would start the process of checking for a new certificate. If you don't want to do that you can start the process manually by logging into the server via ssh and running:/usr/local/cpanel/bin/checkallsslcerts --verbose
Let me know the output of that command please, just remove any identifying data including domain names. Thanks!0 -

Hi @webos So this error: The system will not attempt to replace the certificate for the "X" service with a signed certificate from the cPanel Store because the administrator disabled this functionality.
Indicates that the administrator of the license has disabled the hostname certificate feature. This is done through our licensing interface manage2. If you don't have access to this interface or purchased your license through a reseller you'll need to discuss this issue with them specifically to determine what your options will be. Thanks!0 -
I have buyed the cpanel throught contabo hosting provider, i'm the owner of the vps. What do you mean? 0 -
Hello @webos Since you purchased your license through a reseller you'll need to contact contabo about the hostname SSL feature. They control this through their partner interface with us and we cannot change it. They have the ability to disable several items hostname ssls as well as the ability to purchase ssl certificates being a couple of them. Thanks! 0
