Accessing Multiple Accounts Question
Hello,
I have a server running Cpanel on CloudLinux. I observed that two different domains from different user gave access to Cpanel with account from another domain.
Site1 : cpanel.site1.com
user : admin@site1.com
Site2 : cpanel.site2.com
user : admin2@site2.com
When I open cpanel.site1.com, I am still able to log with admin2@site2.com and vice versa. I want each domain to allow only account created for it and reject account not belonging to it.
Thank you in advance

Hello, If I understand correctly, you are saying that you have 2 different cPanel accounts and you are able to log into cPanel as admin2/user2 using URL : cpanel.site1.com and vice versa. This is absolutely normal since both domains are pointing to the same server. To access cPanel, you can use an IP address on the server or any domain that point to the server. For example, you can use use any of the following URL options to access a cPanel account hosted on your server. It won't cause any security threat, since each cPanel user will be using his own password. As this won't possess any issues, there is nothing to worry. Also please note that it is not possible to restrict access to cPanel accounts by the login URL used. 0 -
Hello @GemStoneGhost, When you enter a URL to access cPanel, WHM, or Webmail, it's not specific to a domain name. Thus, domain1.tld/cpanel and domain2.tld/cpanel are going to load the same login prompt as long as they both resolve to the cPanel & WHM server's IP address. Is there a specific reason you'd like to disable this behavior? Thank you. 0
