    I'm on a shared hosting account at godaddy. when I login securely using windows 10 and putty and from the root folder, /usr/local/cpanel/cpanel -V or cat /usr/local/cpanel/version I get no such file or directory. There is a perl module in /usr/local/cpanel/Cpanel/Version/Full.pm that looks like it would output the version but I don't know perl and my attempts to output the version failed.

    [COLOR=rgb(85, 85, 85)]I copied Version.pm and Full.pm to a folder I have full permissions on and wrote a php script. All it outputs is a blank screen. ob_start(); $perl = new Perl(); $perl->require("Version.pm"); $out = ob_get_contents(); ob_end_clean(); echo "$out"; exec("/usr/bin/perl Full.pm",$output); echo "$output";

    Hello @somebadhat,

    Could you report this to your web hosting provider so they can take a closer look and contact us directly with more information if necessary? Thank you.

    Why would I contact Godaddy? They didn't write cPanel. I made godaddy aware of the problem. they were able to reproduce it. He said he would create a support ticket but that nothing would come of it. He told me I am using cPanel v.76 I installed the cPanel app from the play store. when I open it I get a white screen with cPanel written in a blue bar at the top of the page and a + sign in a green circle at the bottom of the page. when I click on the + sign my screen goes black, I get the stock "app has stopped responding do you want to wait or close, I choose close, nothing happens and I have to restart my device. Another cPanel product that does not work. Thanks.

    Could you reply to the support request and ask them for the ticket number that was opened through cPanel? I'll personally review the ticket and make sure we get a bug report opened once the behavior is confirmed, and then I'll update this thread with the case number. Thank you.

    GoDaddy's version of cPanel is out of date. The LTS version of cPanel, expiring 3/30/2019 is, 70.0.62. Assuming you've got root access to that server, you might force an update to see if that helps with this. There is no need to be abusive on these forums. Post edited.
