[CPANEL-24359] Inaccurate service failure notifications sent out when license is not valid

    So apparently this was caused by the temporary cpanel license expiring. Is it supposed to spam those messages when that happens, or is that a bug? -Michael

    Hello @mvandemar, Internal case CPANEL-24359 is open to ensure service authentication via the mail server is possible in order for Chkservd to properly detect if the service is running in cases where the assigned cPanel license is invalid. I'll monitor this case and update this thread once it's published. Thank you.

    I'm having the same problem. imap and exim failed.     Hello @vacancy, I don't have a release date to provide for this case at this time, but the planned fix is currently in testing. In the meantime, the workaround is to ensure your license is valid. You can check your license status with the following command: /usr/local/cpanel/cpkeyclt

    I confirm that we are affected by this same exact issue. Currently we are at 76.0.14 when our license has expired.     As I promised with my last post, I confirm that the issue resolved after cPanel license has been updated.

    Just encounter this issue, my cPanel is 11.78.0.21, POP3/IMAIL client all failed when cPanel license expired, issue gone after update cPanel license.
