It's unnecessary since Google Drive Backups are configurable through the WHM UI as a backup destination. How to Set Up the Google Drive API - cPanel Knowledge Base - cPanel Documentation0 -
Hi Lauren, Thank you for your response...sorry I was not able to express my thoughts properly...as the below scripts mentions that even a cPanel user (not having access to WHM) can set a remote full backup of their account via FTP/SCP/SFTP. thecpaneladmin.com/cpanel-automated-backup-script/ github.com/Xeroday/cPanel-Auto-Backup/blob/master/backup.php If customer can enable a remote backupusing cron jon and a script to back files up to a 'Cloud Storage' like 'Google Drive' would be great as they have every basic customer right to their files, mails and databases kept with their host and they may loose everything in case of a disaster...and if the host is not able to recover the what happens. This should help every customer using cpanel in my opinion...and remove full dependency from their host. Thanks and regards... 0 -
HI @virtualworldGlobal While you're more than welcome to set something up using pkgacct for the user or using one of these scripts this isn't available in cPanel by default. We do have a feature request open for this here: cPanel UI to configure remote backups There are also quite a few backup plugins that can be added to allow this functionality as well, such as jetbackup Thanks! 0
