Strick Mode Work Around on MYSQL 5.7+

When you install a script and you get errors that portions of the database tables didn't get imported correctly and are maybe missing, most likely its due to MYSQL Strict Mode on your server. What Strict Mode is doing is blocking certain tables from being inported for example: having zeros in your table for time 00.00.00 could keep a table from importing. You will get errors similar to: 1146 - Table 'blablabla' doesn't exist select blablabla as blablablakey, blablabla_value as blablablaValue from blablabla DATABASE_TEP_DB_ERROR The first step you need to take is SSH into your server with WinSCP and locate the my.cnf file so you can open and edit. Here are a few locations it could be located:

• /etc/my.cnf
• /etc/mysql/my.cnf
• $MYSQL_HOME/my.cnf
• [datadir]/my.cnf
• ~/.my.cnf

Once you open the file, look for the header [mysql] [mysql] put this on a line without #, this will disable Strict Mode and it will stick on MYSQL restart. Versions MYSQL prior to 5.7 use underscore and single apostrophe sql_mode='' Versions MYSQL 5.7+ use dash and double apostrophe sql-mode="" Once this is done, save the file and restart MYSQL in WHM by scrolling down to MYSQL area and selecting restart. If you are doing the restart via command line, try using service mysqld restart # OR /etc/init.d/mysqld restart After that, do a complete reinstall of your script and you will no longer have issues.
