Encrypted Backups Concerns

I wonder why destination are added and other improvements are happening, but no encryption is offered via cPanel backup. Encryption via public key and symmetric password. You cannot distribute backups around the globe as a protection of dataloss without any encryption applied. Why do you think cPanel isn't working on such a feature? Is nobody in need of such a feature? Is everybody scripting their own backupscripts? It's 2019 and no indication for improvement in that area?
