Database name already exists but I can't see it in phpMyAdmin

Hi! my database just got missing for no reason I don't know what happen so I tried to make a new database with the same name but the error prompt. "database name already exists ". what does it mean? is my database hidden? how can I unhide of show it again ? Thanks in advance
