IMAP service takes a lot to restart

My server is suddenly showing loads of but when I try to restart the IMAP services they take a lot to restart and the following error is shown in WHM Cpanel::Exception::Timeout/(XID x3ufjj) The system failed to lock the file "/var/run/restartsrv_dovecot" after 197 seconds. at /usr/local/cpanel/Cpanel/SafeFile.pm line 735.
