Create subdomain A record for remote DNS zone?

Hi, Do I need to create a subdomain in cpanel when I create a subdomain A record in my remote managed DNS zone? Thanks, Michael

  im not sure if i understand correct ? 1. you host your domain on other dns server. 2. you just host the main domain on your cpanel server. if it is correct, when you want to add a sub-domain to other serve, you need add a a record on the dns server and point to remote server's ip, you do not need add the sub-domain on the cpanel server.
