Remote backup to Amazon S3 using thousands of requests?
AWS S3 charges per request: "PUT, COPY, POST, or LIST Requests". So far I've only had 3 backups and this value is approaching 2000. How is this possible if it's just moving a compressed file over?

Open a ticket with AWS. I was being charged stupid amounts for not a great deal of data and got some credits. They don't itemise their charges so it's kinda BS if you ask me. You may need to get a higher level of support, but they say you can upgrade support, ask the question and then downgrade when resolved and only pay the pro rata fee. 0 -
Hi @nitro-it I'm sorry to hear that, there's really not a lot of change that can be made to limit the number of requests made when transporting the backups. You might look into a backup solution that doesn't charge on a per request basis if it's not a suitable solution for you. 0
