How to update Mysql to MariaDb

Hi guys how are you? I have a Centos v76.0.20 with Mysql 5.6.41, PHP 7.1 running with all my databases. 1- I wanted to migrate to MariaDB, but I dont know what is the best practice for this. 2 - I'm afraid that after migrating some Database stop working. How can I verify if these databases will work with MariaDb before migrating? Thank you so much for the help best Fernando
