Delay in email delivery

Just so I am clear, you send an email FROM an external source (say a gmail.com account) and it takes two hours to arrive in your local inbox? First thing I would check is are there delivery attempts sooner than that where your server is denying the initial delivery. An initial delivery attempt should hit your server within a few minutes of it being sent from gmail. If there is no logged delivery attempt, then it might be a problem with the dns configuration, but there's not enough detail here to determine that.

Hello @elderf, Can you send a test message from a remote server and then search for it in /var/log/exim_mainlog to verify if there's anything delaying the delivery process on the cPanel & WHM server? You can search /var/log/exim_mainlog with a command like this: exigrep user@remote-server /var/log/exim_mainlog
    Thank you.
